Thank You!!!

I had a such fabulous time this weekend participating in the 3rd Annual Arlington Artist Alliance Art Studio Tour. Working in the open studio provides an amazing variety of creative and collaborative opportunities. So many incredible artists and art lovers came to visit, and I am feeling very grateful for all the love and insights that they brought. I am beyond blessed and lucky to be surrounded by fantastically talented and dedicated artists. Thank you to all of you!!!

Check out this exciting article here, all about the art studio tour, my artwork, and my studio space at Red Studios at Art Underground. And if you missed the studio tour, or would like to come visit again anytime, feel free to contact me via twitter, my contact page, or my Dear Suburbia page on Facebook to set up a studio visit. Plus, yes, upon request there may be cupcakes!!!

Welcome to My New Art Studio

I recently moved into some amazing new digs in the Red Studios at Art Underground. I’ve been so inspired that I’m pretty much working on new art pieces every single day–nonstop. I’m feeling blessed and grateful to have this new art studio and to be surrounded by a creative and exciting group of local artists in the Red Studios, and also in the Cyan and Blue Studios at Art Underground as well. All of these fabulous studios are located in the Crystal City Shops at 2100 Crystal Drive in Arlington, Virginia. And, in just one week, on October 26 and 27 from 10am-5pm each day, you will have an incredible opportunity to visit me in my studio as part of the 3rd Annual Arlington Artists Alliance Art Studio Tour. In fact, the Arlington Artists Alliance Art Studio Tour is the perfect opportunity for you to visit over 20 local artists in their studios. It all kicks off with an art-filled reception on October 25 from 5pm-8pm at Gallery Underground, also located in the Crystal City Shops. Come on out, meet me and other local artists, check out our creative spaces, see brilliant and inspiring works of art, and learn more about the art scene in Arlington, Virginia. Come on over. Looking forward to seeing you!

Even More Fun the Second Time Around

Dear Suburbia, I have more Free Art Friday NoVA art for you! I’m planning to drop this 4×4 double-sided mixed media piece off late late tonight in Fairfax, Virginia. I’m hoping it will become a magical Friday morning discovery for someone! So far I’m thinking that this piece will be waiting for a lucky someone somewhere near either George Mason University or Epicure Café. We shall see how the evening unfolds. Happy Free Art finding to you!

Yes, it is free!!! Go ahead...take it...I made this for you! xoxo

Free Art Friday

Want free art? This 5×5 original piece of art could be yours! You could find it somewhere in suburbia as part of Free Art Friday NoVA! Keep an eye out for this little piece of art, and more to come, Fridays in Northern Virginia. I’ll be leaving my pieces in Fairfax. If you would like clues for how to find free art, or if you are an artist who would like to participate, check out Free Art Friday NoVA on Facebook. I love the idea of someone finding a free piece of original art. I’m hoping it will bring a bit of joy and wonder into someone’s day.

Dear Suburbia, I made this for you. P.S. It is free. xoxo
