My family and I are resigned to reside in suburbia until the year 2025. We would like to leave with our souls intact. I’m in the process of researching and learning to survive. I’ve started developing a loving relationship with suburbia by collecting, extracting, abstracting, analyzing, and organizing coping mechanisms, daily lived experience, necessary distractions, messages of hope from the world beyond. This experience is mine. One soul experiencing suburbia. You are welcome to witness the documentation of this lived experience.
Please visit the Artifacts & Ephemera page for quotes, bits, and pieces that get me through the day. See the Survival Guide for practical meditations and ideas. I can’t claim to be an expert at much. Anything written is merely my own practice. Trying it out is up to you. What I do know is that our souls need not be crushed by suburbia. Our souls are made for love.

Fighting the good fight in the suburbs. Thanks for your creativity and insight.
Thank you! I was so happy to discover your blog. So good to find another suburbanite (did I really just call us that) who is out there asking questions and getting creative. Looking forward to reading more of your writing. Peace.
On a mission to not be swallowed up by the banality of the suburbs. I’m with ya!

Hi there. Thanks so much for stopping by to say hello. Peace to you.
Thanks so much for following my site. I plan to tour your Stranger in a Strange Land thoughts here.
Thank you for taking a look. Welcome. I hope you enjoy what you find. Your blog is beautiful. Love the visual art and the writing. I look forward to seeing and reading more. Peace to you!
I like this a lot. It’s like your traveling in a foreign country and trying to understand and process its landscapes and culture. There’s a soul in everything, you just have to find its poetry, and it looks like you’re doing just that.
Thank you. So happy you like it. I just read your article in Sojourners, “Heavenly Energy.” Enjoyed it so much, and I am particularly struck with the idea and image of the “Creation Windows.” Beautiful to see people working as co-creators and caring for the earth and one another. Blessings to you.
one of the best ‘about’ pages I’ve ever read. great job of defining your goal and process.
I’m confident your soul, by any definition, in any understanding, will maintain its integrity, while dropping stones and setting lanterns for us to follow..
Thanks. It has been helping me stay focused, but I think also gives some much needed freedom.
